Where is Everyone?
Mood:  incredulous
I leave for a while and when I return everyone is gone and things I expect to still be here have disappeared!  What happened?  Geez, do I have to keep eye on everything every minute?

I give up

I can't figure out why this site began giving so many problems all of a sudden.  I replaced pages and pages that weren't there when I went back to check--over and over.

I gave up and deleted the whole damn thing this afternoon.  If there was corruption on the pages, it should be gone now.  The other sites seem okay.

I'm tired and really not in the mood to start over...

More Problems

So, this morning I found a couple of pages that I replaced yesterday have again disappeared from view.  This time I can't even place the cursor on the page to paste them back.

The nav bar absolutely will not go anyplace except the top of the page, there is only the one option shown--the middle of the page.   It's the same no matter which layout I choose.   I'm deleting all other html that I inserted just in case they are producing the problems.  It hasn't made any difference.  If the problem ever get fixed, I'll have the joy of going back into almost every page to reinsert most of the special html.  A tremendous aggravation.

I'm so tired of deleting pages to redo, only to have the same thing happen again.

Frustration
Mood:  irritated

I think my patience has just about hit its limit around here.  I get it--there are always problems and bugs in upgrades, but they usually grow less and less.  Not get worse and worse. Things that were broke weeks ago are still broke and it looks like they will stay that way.

I've worked hard too, weeks of work put up and I'm not finished yet.  It's now begun disappearing so I have to do it all over again.  I can't post new stuff if I have to worry about reposting stuff that should still be there.

After asking for a restore I had to finally take on the job of redoing every page on one site.  It isn't a matter of just simply copy pasting either, because nothing pastes perfectly.  Font sizes have to be fixed, colors redone,  nav bars replaced, and everything manually saved.  The two minute save feature isn't working as it should, along with most everything else.

I need to check the other sites but I'm afraid I'll find disaster there too, and I don't think I have the energy to fix anything else.

Maybe it's time to rethink where I want to be.  Paying for something that doesn't work isn't making sense to me.  I can find free sites without ads if that was what I wanted, but I've been here so long I don't want to move.

I guess I've complained too often to listen to anymore, but if I don't say anything, they'll think it's all okay.    Some people get their issues fixed at once, others have to wait...

Readers Love Survivors
Mood:  mischievious

When our world grows too busy and demanding we need an escape from reality. We need to go to a place where dreams and fantasies can become true. This place is a book of fiction.

I want to read a stronger than reality piece with which I can identify. I want to see me in a character, but a stronger me. Someone who stands up and fights back. The character could be male, female, adult or child. It could be a character of fantasy, or an alien being. That isn’t important. What is important is she doesn’t sit quietly by and let things happen to her. She does what needs doing to take action against adversity.

Readers like hero characters who can triumph over whatever the world throws at them. Whether natural disasters, tragedy or bad guys, the hero must overcome them and survive.

Without the character overcoming an obstacle, what’s the point of reading the story? Readers see depression and failure in real life - so give them success. The character must work to overcome adversity and survive. The reader will place himself in the main character’s shoes and experience the same emotions. He wants to feel that life does have a purpose and there is always hope.

Readers want to recognize themselves, or the person they want to be, in the character’s personal qualities. For me, that means I don’t want a timid hero to remain timid. By the end of the story she has discovered her courage by using her brain and gaining skills. The ending shows her kicking butt and taking names. She is a survivor. She is me.

Where's the joy?
Mood:  down
Topic: Negative Vibes

It seems that the country has turned its negativity into political power, and it's so magnetic that it's slowly pulling us all in.  I can't believe what I hear and how easy it is to divide.

This division has no purpose but to grab more votes from those who are easily led.  Why do they fall for it?   So many just do not have the compacity to think for themselves, or to think logically.  The lies are blantantly 'in your face', but the blind, deaf, and needy don't want to see or hear or even have to think too hard.  They're so easy to lead down the road to despair.  Why do they have to drag the rest of us down with them?

Many citizens forget (or were never taught)  who is supposed to be in charge, and are freely tossing away all their rights.  For what?  What will be their reward?  Embracing miserable poverty and complete domination.   For what?
